Musical Mondays: EVERY TEARDROP IS A WATERFALL by Coldplay

mylo xylotoI have always been a fan of the band Coldplay- somehow their music never fails to please and impress me. This song is no exception. It was originally released as a single, but it is also on Coldplay’s album called Mylo Xyloto which was released on October 19, 2011. This song has an awesome balance between instruments and vocals. The intensity of it seems to grow and grow until the climactic moment when it reaches its peak, and you just want to start dancing and yell, ‘YES!” No matter how many times I listen to this song I never get tired of it. The lyrics are amazing as well. My favorite lines of this song are as follows:

“I turn the music up, I’ve got my records on

From underneath the rubble sing a rebel song

Don’t want to see another generation drop

I’d rather be a comma than a full stop.”

Give this song a listen!

Yours,

HOLLY
