I love Walk the Moon. I love their whimsical album covers, their immense talent for squeezing one hundred different emotions into one fantastic song, their insightful lyrics and head-banging sound- everything about this band is just awesome. I absolutely adore their album titled Walk the Moon, which was released a little over a year ago on June 19, 2012 (I think I’ve mentioned this album on this blog before… probably). Honestly, there isn’t one single song on it that I don’t like! One of my favorite songs on this album is I Can Lift A Car. It’s catchy, fun, and bittersweet all at the same time. Most of my favorite songs are ones that tell stories, and this song certainly seems to do just that. There’s also a little twist at the end that I thought was really cute and clever. My favorite lines from this song are as follows:
“Did you did you
Did you know that
I can lift a car up all by myself
Well no misunderstanding
I’m not saying that you came
But you did.”
Seriously, if you haven’t checked Walk the Moon out yet then you definitely should! Give this song a listen!
