I like to reread books.

I have read all of John Green’s books more than once. I have read the Harry Potter series three times, and Lord of the Rings four times. Needless to say, I am a big supporter of rereading books. Some people (my mother is one of them) don’t understand how it is enjoyable or entertaining to read a book that you have already read before. However, I LOVE rereading books. There are so many details that I don’t catch the first- or sometimes even the second- time through. Also, I like to highlight and sticky-note quotes the second time I read a book. Or I choose something specific to focus on, such as the author’s writing style, character development, etc.

Out of curiosity, how many of you like to reread books?

Yours,

HOLLY

  1. I always pick up something a little different each time a read a book, especially when it has been a few years since I read it last. Whether I notice new things, my perspective has changed, or both is hard to say. There are books I’ve read until the pages fell out! (Scotch tape comes in handy until you can get a new copy.)
