BACK TO SCHOOL.

Tomorrow is my first day of school, and the realization is finally setting in: I’m going to have to wake up early and put on actual clothes and eat in a cafeteria and do homework. AGAIN. Part of my is happy because a) I get to see my friends again and b) I’m beginning to tire of summer. However, another part of me is still dreading walking through those halls tomorrow.

The first day of school has always felt so magical to me. It’s so full of hope and possibility, probably more so than any other day of the year. There is so much that is unknown: what your teachers are like, which friends are in your classes, what the new school year will be like, etc. With all of this possibility involved, I can’t help but be both nervous and excited.

How do you view the first day of school? Are you more nervous or excited for this new school year? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter @Nutfreenerd !

Yours,

HOLLY

  1. I’m always so excited to see my new timetable! But as soon as the first day’s over, I want to have my holidays back…
    Seeing friends again helps though.

  2. I can’t wait to go back to school! I’m not looking forward to the work or the 8:30 classes every day, but I’m really excited to see all of my friends again. By the time Thanksgiving rolls around though, I’ll be counting down the days until summer holidays start, haha.

  3. I’ll tell ya the truth, Holly, I absolutely hated high school hahaha. I don’t envy your upcoming semesters one bit, but high school really does play a formative role in how we choose our next paths. I think there is something magical on the *good* days, though – the chemistry of it all – friends, teachers, memories – it happens when you’re not paying attention or when you least expect it, and that’s to be treasured. Good luck with school, Holly! 😀 Christmas will be here before you know it ;D
