more books: something’s fishy

I got more books!

No surprise, as my TBR list never ceases to stop growing. This particular pile of books all started when I recently one Of Neptune by Anna Banks from a Goodreads giveaway. Since it’s the third book in the series, I went out and bought the first two after it came in the mail.

THESE BOOKS ARE ABOUT MERMAIDS!

I haven’t read a book about mermaids in ages, so I’m really excited to dive into these fantastical reads. They definitely have a summer-y vibe to them, and I’m planning on reading them marathon-style sometime in July (hopefully).

Have you ever read these books? What did you think of them? What books have you bought/received/won recently? What books do you want to buy? Let me know in the comments section below!

Yours,

HOLLY

  1. Ooh, I haven’t read these yet but they’re on my TBR — I can’t wait to read your thoughts on them! 🙂

I recently won a copy of Born of Deception by Teri Brown from a Goodreads giveaway, and I reaaaally want to buy Ruin & Rising by Leigh Bardugo (I’m terrified that I’ll read a spoiler, since everyone seems to have read it already!)

    1. Aren’t Goodreads giveaways the best? They’re so easy to enter and the books they have are great. I’ve heard really good things about these books, so I’m really excited to read them! Thanks for commenting! 🙂

  2. Wow these look awesome, I haven’t read about mermaids for years either! The last I read about mermaids was the Ingo series about six years!
I’ve just borrowed The Book of Jonas by Stephen Dau and A Home and the End of the World by Michael Cunningham from my library because I never have money for books (sobs), and I’ll be reviewing both of these when I’m finished them!

    1. Yeah I’m really excited to read something about mermaids since I haven’t in a while. I think I just sort of never found any mermaid books that were geared towards YA until now. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on your new books! 🙂
