top ten tuesday: underrated authors

Hi there! It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by the lovely blog The Broke and the Bookish. This week the theme is Top Ten Underrated Authors, or authors you think should get more praise than they currently receive. So, in no particular order:

  1.  Melina Marchetta
  2. John Corey Whaley
  3. Orson Scott Card
  4. Jennifer E. Smith
  5. E.L. Konigsburg
  6. Deb Caletti
  7. Kristin Cashore
  8. Libba Bray
  9. Jenny Hubbard
  10. Michael Scott

These authors have written some fantastic books, but for some reason there doesn’t seem to be a huge amount of buzz about them. I highly recommend their books to anyone who is looking for something great to read!

Have you read any books by these authors? What did you think of them? What authors do you think are underrated? Let me know in the comments section below!

Yours,

HOLLY

    1. That’s such a fun one! Her other novels are great as well. Some of my personal favorites are The Outcasts of 19 Schuyler Place and Silent to the Bone. I would definitely recommend giving them a try! Thanks for commenting! 🙂

    1. I absolutely adore Where Things Come Back by John Corey Whaley, and his most recent novel Noggin is excellent as well. They’re really unique, funny, and insightful. I highly recommend them! Thanks for commenting! 🙂
