WWW Wednesdays: November 12th

WWW WednesdaysWWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Should Be Reading that asks three questions:

What are you currently reading???

Right now I’m still read short stories and poems by Edgar Allan Poe. GO POEVEMBER!Β πŸ™‚

What did you recently finish reading???

Just yesterday I finished readingΒ Hollow CityΒ by Ransom Riggs. I enjoyed it, although I do sort of wish that the series had ended with just this sequel. The prospect of the author dragging this series out for several more books is sort of disappointing. Review will be posted after Poevember!

What do you think you’ll read next???

Assuming I don’t have anything to read for school, I’d love to pick up one of the many books on my shelf that I still have yet to read. There are so many! I’ve been getting a lot of books from the library lately, but the growing pile of books I own next to my bed keeps taunting me. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to make a dent in the pile soon!

What are your answers to these questions? Let me know in the comments section below!

Yours,

HOLLY

    1. It’s a never-ending cycle! My goal is to cut down my pile significantly before I head off to college next year, but I don’t know how successful I’ll be with that haha. Thanks for commenting! πŸ™‚

  1. I should really read some Poe. I feel like the short story I read back in high school just isn’t enough. But anyways:
I just finished reading “Thirteen Reasons Why” by Jay Asher. This book is a MUST. It is bold and brave and brilliant and bleak. Everything about it is just amazing.
I am currently reading “More Than This” by Patrick Ness. Well, trying to all the damn studying is getting in the way!
And I think I want to read “Cooper Bartholomew Is Dead” by Rebecca James next. I won a Facebook comp that Allen and Unwin YA held and I feel like I should really read this next. BUT the physical copy of the Bane Chronicles has a new Bane adventure in it! So maybe i’ll read that first? Hmmm…choices, choices!

    1. I know, it’s sooo hard to decide what to read next! I’ve never read Thirteen Reasons Why but I’ve heard fantastic things about it. I’ll have to move it closer to the top of my TBR list. Thanks for commenting! πŸ™‚

  2. I got a little over 100 pages into Hollow City, set it down one day, and just never came back to it. I mean to finish but it just didn’t seem to be drawing me in the way Miss Peregrine did. I agree about the next book, too. Two would have been enough.

    1. Yeah it’s definitely not as good as the first book was. I hope the series doesn’t end up being longer than a trilogy, because I don’t know if I could make it all the way through a bunch more books. Thanks for commenting! πŸ™‚
