Today is my eighteenth birthday!
It’s so strange. I remember being in kindergarten thinking that I would never be twelve or thirteen years old, and then in middle school wondering if time would ever pass fast enough for me to turn sixteen and get my driver’s license.
And now I’m a legal adult!
A lot of things have changed since I first started blogging a few years ago, and as I looked back I realized that I’ve grown so much as a reader, writer, and person in general. I read more critically, write more expressively, and I have a more thoughtful perspective of the world now than I had months and months ago. I’m happy with where I am right now, and I’m beyond excited to see what I end up doing next!
Birthdays always feel a bit weird. I mean, is there really a huge difference between the day before your birthday and the day of? Usually I don’t think so, but today I do feel a tad different. Perhaps it’s just because eighteen is such a landmark birthday in the United States, where I live. Or maybe I’m realizing all the responsibilities- and adventures!- that accompany this new age. Either way, so far I’m really liking being eighteen!
It also means that I can legally join NetGalley!! 🙂
As always, thank you all for sticking with me for all this time. You lovely people are the best! 🙂
Yours,
HOLLY
