WWW Wednesdays: December 10th

WWW WednesdaysWWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Should Be Reading that asks three questions:

What are you currently reading???

Right now I am about two-thirds of the way done with The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood. Oh my goodness, this book is FANTASTIC. If you’re a fan of George Orwell’s 1984 or stories like that, then I definitely recommend giving this one a try!

Over the weekend I started listening to an audiobook that I’m really excited about. Drum roll, please!

I’m finally reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn!

And I’m still reading Harry Potter y la cámara secreta by J.K. Rowling, which is the Spanish translation of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

What did you recently finish reading???

This past week I managed to finish two books! The first was Skipping Christmas by John Grisham, which was short and sweet and just a really fun read.

I also finished listening to the audiobook of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. While there were a few things I didn’t like about it, overall I did enjoy it.

What do you think you’ll read next???

Probably the short story collection called Let It Snow by various YA authors. I read it last year and really want to read it again before Christmas.

What are your answers to these questions? Let me know in the comments section below!

    1. Yeah I liked Let It Snow a lot when I read it a while ago, but I have a feeling my taste has changed quite a bit since then. I guess we’ll see! John Green’s story was my favorite as well. Thanks for commenting! 🙂

  1. I just finished A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray and have such a HUGE book hangover from its epicness that I have no idea what I’m going to read next. The Handmaiden’s Tale looks interesting though 🙂

    1. Book hangovers are the worst! I have one from The Handmaid’s Tale right now haha and I’m just sort of roaming around aimlessly, still in awe. I’ll have to add A Thousand Pieces of You to me TBR then! Thanks for commenting! 🙂

  2. Gone Girl is right on top of my TBR pile as I type this, and I really need to get a copy of The Handmaid’s Tale! The story sounds amazing and the fact that it is similar to 1984 makes me want to read it even more. 😀

    1. The Handmaid’s Tale reminded me A LOT of 1984, but not in a bad way, like she was copying it or anything like that. It just has a lot of the same elements that 1984 has, but they’re presented in a totally different way. I definitely recommend it! 🙂

      1. I’m definitely going to push The Handmaid’s Tale right up to the top of my readinglist! 1984 was one of my favorite reads this year, so if it is anything similar, I’m sure I will love it. 🙂

  3. I haven’t heard many good things about Let It Snow – apparently it was overhyped. The Handmaid’s Tale is FANTASTIC! I really want to own it someday. Gone Girl is in my TBR but I’m on a book ban until I finish my current TBR (which is going to be hard) so fingers-crossed that I get to it! Oh and how many languages do you speak?

    1. I only speak English fluently, and then some Spanish. I’ve been taking Spanish classes for five years and can read middle grade and young adult books in it, but I have a hard time with anything harder than that. But I’m working on it! Thanks for commenting! 🙂
