top ten tuesday: most anticipated debut novels for 2015

TTTHow are you all doing on this fine Tuesday? It’s time yet again for another Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the lovely blog The Broke and the Bookish. This week the theme is Top Ten Most Anticipated Debut Novels for 2015. I have to admit that this theme was a bit tricky for me to adhere to- I don’t normally keep track of upcoming debut novels, let alone the top ten ones I’m most looking forward to. But I have tried my best, and with the help of a few lists from Goodreads I have compiled an assortment of 2015 debuts that look intriguing, to say the least.

1. Emma and Otto and Russell and James by Emma Hooper

2. We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach

3. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

4. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

5. Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley

6. The Sweetheart by Angelina Mirabella

7. Even When You Lie to Me by Jessica Alcott

And those are all of the books by debut authors that I’m looking forward to being released in 2015. As you can see, I couldn’t quite make it to ten… I’m just not aware of anymore up-and-coming debut authors! If you know of any that are releasing books this year, let me know in the comments section below. I’d love to hear about the books you’re all looking forward to being released!

Yours,

HOLLY

  1. I don’t really keep track of debut authors either, unless I’ve read some of their works online or something. But the cover for We All Looked Up does intrigue me… I have a bit of a weakness for pretty books, unfortunately! 😉

    1. I feel the same way! That’s actually the reason I first looked at We All Looked Up (and most of the books on this list)- I love the cover! It’s really simple yet intriguing, which is what makes it great. Anyways, thanks for commenting! 🙂

  2. Ah they are all so beautiful! We All Looked Up is the one I’m most anticipating from this list…it’s a genre-transcending piece of sci-fi/contemporary YA. I look forward to it.

    1. I know, the covers of these books are gorgeous! I think I’m most excited for We All Looked Up as well- the premise of it is just so interesting. I love books with multiple perspectives as well, which I think that book also has. As always, thanks for commenting! 🙂

    1. I can’t wait for An Ember in the Ashes either!! It’ll be nice to read a fantasy novel that is only a standalone instead of a series- it can be so tiring and frustrating waiting for all the books in a series to come out! Thanks for commenting! 🙂

    1. The premise of EORJ sounds really unique and interesting, and I’m really excited it to read it as well. I’ve heard some great things about it so far from people who have read ARCs, so it definitely sounds like a promising read. Thanks for commenting! 🙂
