Top Ten Tuesday: Popular Books I Haven’t Read (Yet!)

TTTHi there, lovely readers! How is everyone on this fine Tuesday? It’s time for another installment of Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week the theme was a little more open-ended, so I decided to go with the Top Ten Popular Books I Haven’t Read (Yet!). You know those books that everyone is talking about, that even people who don’t normally read will make an appearance at the bookstore or library for? These are those books, and for some reason I just haven’t gotten around to reading them yet.

  1. OMG! Shatter Me IS AMAZING 😀 Seriously though, the third book in that series (Ignite Me) would have been on my Top 10 books of 2014 list if I had made one 😛 Lol

  2. A Game of Thrones, Shatter me and The chronicles of Narnia are some of my favourite books! I also really need to read Thirteen reasons why..

  3. The Shatter Me series is AMAZING! I can’t believe you haven’t read that yet!! Animal Farm is ok, I had to study it for my GCSE English exam. I am 3/4 of the way through A Game Of Thrones, which is proving to be addictive and easy to get into. I was a tad disappointed by Thirteen Reasons Why, but I still enjoyed the plot line 🙂

    1. I know, I’m so behind!!! I’ve heard only great things about it, so I don’t know why I’ve waited so long. Hopefully all of this encouragement will give me the push I need to read it, haha 🙂 Thanks for commenting!

    1. I honestly have no idea, haha! I think I was too obsessed with Harry Potter to even think about entering a different fantasy world… but now I’m ready to enter them all! Thanks for commenting! 🙂

  4. Hi! First of all, I love the design of your blog and the logo and header are very unique!
Secondly, I haven’t read any of these books in your list too! I will definitely look into some of them. In fact, I haven’t read the first book in the Chronicles of Narnia series either and it’s in my 2015 Reading Challenge list too.

    Cheers, Tx

  5. Everyone is obsessing over Game of Thrones so much so that I’m kind of scared to get on the hype-wagon! 😛
Animal Farm I would recommend (I haven’t read all of it, just a chapter or two) simply because it is awesome, the concept is awesome and I know everything about it…just need to get onto reading it! 😛
    Plus: George Orwell.

    1. That’s good to know! They’re such long books, but if they’re fast reads then it makes it less intimidating to start. I’ll get to it eventually, but hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks for commenting! 🙂

      1. Oh yes I couldn’t out them down, if it’s a good book it doesn’t matter if it’s 5000 pages. After I read the thousands of pages I felt like fish out of water, when it finished.

  6. I have only read If I Stay from your list, but most of the others are on my TBR also. Maybe this year I can get through most of them, though, I already have a mass amount of books waiting for me to pick up. I don’t know. I guess we’ll see. I really should stop buying so many books!

    1. I feel the same way! I already own so many books that I haven’t read yet, and I’m trying to find a balance between chipping away at that stack and reading other books that I’m excited about. It can be tricky! Thanks for commenting! 🙂

  7. I haven’t read most of those either, don’t worry! I bought the sequel to the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, but haven’t been able to find the first one! I can forgive you for not reading Game of Thrones. It’s so massive! Worth it though 🙂
Thanks for visiting Addlepates and Book Nerds! 🙂

  8. You MUST read Thirteen Reasons Why. It is such an amazing book and I feel it is an important story for YA to tell.

As for the Sisterhood series, it’s beautifully written. Brashares used a magical pair of pants to talk about some real problems that face teenagers and stuff. It’s well done. The last book was weird because I thought the series was just gonna be a trilogy. Good book, but odd storyline 🙂

  9. Game of Thrones: read all 5. Worth it. If you’ve been watching the series, please note they started deviating from the books just past the middle of the third. Both the books and series are excellent – just slightly different.
The Notebook: Excellent. Far superior to the movie. The best Nicholas Sparks book.
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants: eh
