“There are no random acts…We are all connected…You can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind…” ~ The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom
I really like this quote because it makes you realize that every action you make has some sort of impact on the world, even if it is incredibly slight. I think this is one of the valuable lessons that reading teaches us- it shows us how to feel empathy for other people and that we are certainly not alone.

Love the quote! We are all merged together and connected, aren’t we? Other books that explore this sort of altogetherness pretty well are And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini (but the message hits home towards the end so you’d have a bit of reading to get through first!) and An Inspector Calls by J.B. Priestley. 😀 Both are awesome and have their drawbacks.

I’ve heard some great things about Khaled Hosseini’s work, but I’ve never read any of it- I’ll have to give it a try! Thanks for the recommendations! 🙂
