We Are Infinite // Wreck This Journal 4

Wreck This JournalFollow me as I adventure through my copy of Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith.

Before:

Once again, I’ve forgotten to take a picture of the original pages. They were just blank with the instructions on them, which read: Create a nonstop line.

After:

John Green Infinite PageI included one of my favorite quotes from John Green’s novel Looking for Alaska, which I absolutely love. In case it’s too hard to read in the picture, here it is:

“When adults say, “Teenagers think they are invincible” with that sly, stupid smile on their faces, they don’t know how right they are. We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken. We think that we are invincible because we are. We cannot be born, and we cannot die. Like all energy, we can only change shapes and sizes and manifestations. They forget that when they get old. They get scared of losing and failing. But that part of us greater than the sum of our parts cannot begin and cannot end, and so it cannot fail.”

Underneath the quote is a page from a random old book that I painted with my watercolor paint set. I haven’t used watercolors in forever, and it was so much fun!

Have you ever worked on a Wreck This Journal? How would you have decorated this page? Let me know in the comments section below!

Yours,

HOLLY

  1. I saw a Wreck This Journal book at the bookshop (the staff were nicer this time round). I tried to stuff it in my sister’s face (she’s the arty one in the family) but she was dedicated to finding The Shadowhunter Code (or the other) and rejected my attempts to make her fall in love with this. /.\ they grow up so fast! 😛
IT’S BEAUTIFUL (Looking for Alaska is the ONE).
