We are one fourth of the way through the year, people! March is probably my least favorite month of the year because it’s so long and there aren’t many holidays (well, besides St. Patrick’s Day and Pi Day, but I’m not Irish and I can’t eat most pies because they’re cross-contaminated with nuts a lot of the time). However, this March actually went by pretty quickly because I was so busy. Here’s what I was up to:
Bookish News
In March I read a total of 5 books:
- A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall
- Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller
- Gilgamesh: A Verse Narration by Herbert Mason
- Shadow Scale by Rachel Hartman
- Live Your Dash by Linda Ellis
I also read an ARC preview of A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab that I received from NetGalley.
My favorite book of the month was Shadow Scale by Rachel Hartman. Although I didn’t think it was quite as good as the first book in the series, I still really enjoyed it. Rachel Hartman’s writing is fantastic, and the fantasy world that she has created is one of the best and most intricate I have ever read. I really hope there’s another book in this series!!
Personal News
As far as school is concerned, this month was kind of crazy. My teachers are piling on the work before review in April for the AP exams, trying to cram in as much material as humanly possible. I’ve been waiting and waiting for news from the colleges I’ve applied to, and I finally heard back from a few of them on acceptance and financial aid. I still don’t know exactly where I’m going, but it’s nice nevertheless to finally have some information.
Blogging News
This month I spontaneously decided to participate in the March 2015 Bloggiesta and I had such a great time! Even though I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked (darn that schoolwork!) I still made some significant progress in scheduling posts ahead for April.
Here are some of my notable posts from the month of March:
- Fun with Tea! // Wreck This Journal 3
- I Spent a Night at College for the First Time… and Survived!!
- The Epic Reads Tag
- We Are Infinite // Wreck This Journal 4
- The Spread Love Challenge ❤

I also didn’t enjoy Shadow Scale as much as Seraphina, but I’m such a fan of Hartman’s world-building.
