Top Ten Tuesday: Best Books I’ve Read Recently

www.nutfreenerd.comIt’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! This week I’ll be showcasing the Top Ten Best Books I’ve Read Recently, AKA the ten books I’ve rated 5 smileys most recently. So far this year My Ántonia by Willa Cather is the only book that fits this bill, and the rest are from 2014 and 2015. As you can see, I read some fantastic books last year!

    1. I probably wouldn’t have had such a great experience reading Great Expectations if I hadn’t read it with my English class in high school– having that guidance really helped!

    1. That’s awesome! I used to give out five star ratings A LOT easier than I do now. Now a book has to really blow me away to earn five stars, and those are usually the books that become my all-time favorite ones, like Jurassic Park.

  1. Stoked to see Mindy Kaling on this list! I’m about 15 minutes off from finishing Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me, and it was just so fun, so playful, and so easy to breeze through.

And A Darker Shade of Magic is on my immediate TBR! I think it’s written by V. E. Schwab, though, not Orson Scott Card (as in your image). 😛

Here’s my list, if you’re curious!

    1. Oh no!! haha thanks for pointing that out to me!! 🙂

A Darker Shade of Magic is amazing– get ready for a ton of magic, fight scenes, and all the witty dialogue you could ever dream of. I hope you enjoy it!

  2. I really loved Vicious too! And A Darker Shade of Magic. I actually have the sequel on my list! I haven’t read many classics, so I’ve never read Jane Eyre before, although I do have a copy on my shelf. And I’ve never read Jurassic Park either! I need to add these to my ever-growing TBR as well…

    Great list!
