Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated 2016 Releases

Top Ten Tuesday-Happy Tuesday! As we near the halfway mark of the year, it’s starting to sink in that 2016 is here and underway. This week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is supposed to be about our most anticipated releases of the second half of the year, but seeing as I haven’t read many 2016 releases in general I’m just going to include books from the entire year. Hopefully since I’m home for the summer from college I can jump right into reading a few of these exciting books!

    1. I can’t wait!! I think I’m going to have to reread The Rook before I dive into Stiletto, though, because it’s been a while and I want to remember all the tiny details. It’s going to be so good!!! 😀

    1. Same! Although I’ll be at college when it does come out, so I’ll probably end up having to wait until Christmas break to read it. Still, it’ll be something to look forward to! 🙂

  1. Kindred Spirits and Stiletto are 2 new titles for me – I shall have to check them out on goodreads! Schwab and Steifvater are 2 authors I want to try this year. As for most anticipated titles? How to pick! There are so many wonderful authors out there. I guess Laini Taylor’s new novel would make the list, anything by Kresley Cole (not sure what her next IAD book is…) and Veronica Roths new book (again is the release 2016 or 2017?). I’m a bit disorganised ATM!

    1. I definitely recommend Schwab and Stiefvater– they’re amazing! I’m currently loving Stiefvater’s Raven Boys series, so that might be a good place to start with her. All of the books in the series have been released, so there’s no waiting involved 🙂 I’ve never read anything by Laini Taylor… any recs for where to start?

      1. She’s not written much, so there’s really only one starting point, Daughter of Smoke and Bone – unless you like novellas? It’s a fun trilogy, but for Angel-themed books I actually preferred Susan Ee’s ‘Angelfall’, which blew me away.

    1. Thanks! 🙂 I stumbled across Nevernight on Goodreads one day, and I loved Jay Kristoff’s work with Illuminae so I’m hoping I’ll really enjoy this one as well.

    1. The Rook is SO SO GOOD. It’s a pretty chunky book, but I just about swallowed it whole in a few days. Once you’re hooked, there’s no turning back! The sequel is definitely well overdue, but I’m hoping the crazy wait will all be worth it! 🙂

    1. I feel the same way– at this point, I’ll read pretty much anything Schwab writes. Once you get to that status with an author, there’s no turning back haha 🙂
