Happy Tuesday!! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic takes us back to what we read last year (it’s so strange to say that already!). Today I’m here to share the top ten new-to-me authors that I read for the first time in 2017. Fortunately, I have many, many great authors to choose from! In the order that I read them, they are:

  1. I read Gaskell for the first time last year, too! I am not uniformly enchanted by her works, but I did enjoy Cousin Phyllis and Wives and Daughters. North and South was a bit dull in my opinion….

  2. Nice list! Virginia Woolf is one author I’ll be reading for the first time next year! What book of Cormac McCarthy’s did you read? I read No Country for Old Men for school. It was good but I read it at a time when I had a lot of problems with my concentration so I didn’t love it. I’m gonna read the road by him so hopefully I enjoy that.
