Top Ten Tuesday: Spring 2018 TBR

Happy Tuesday!! It’s that time of year again: bring out the spring 2018 TBR lists! Every season I set a TBR list and then completely forget about it by the time I have to create another one for the next season… when will this vicious cycle end? (Not anytime soon!) Since I now have my reading lists for next term to start working on I have quite a bit of reading to do over the next few weeks. Based on a mix of assigned reading and random books I’ve meaning to read for ages, here are ten books I’m hoping to read this spring:Β

What books do you want to read this spring? What do you think about the books that I’ve mentioned? Let me know in the comments section below!

Yours,

HOLLY

  1. Great list. I`ve only read “To The Lighthouse” by Virginia Woolf, but I want to get to her other works soon. I`m also a big fan of Chimamanda`s writing. Hope you enjoy all of these!

    1. hahaha SO TRUE. The cover designs are always so pretty but then you open the book up and it’s like WHAT IS THIS. So far I’m enjoying it, although it’s definitely not a breezy, fluffy read.

  2. Oh, I also want to read “A Room of One’s Own”.

I’ve read “Things Fall Apart” and you just HAVE TO. It is soooo great! I Want to read the next two books in the series but I haven’t done it yet ^^
    Great TTT, Holly!

      1. Oh, that’s awesome, you’ll get to analyze lots of things that might go unnoticed on a quick read (the book is cutely told, but it has so many layers of meaning, it’s beautiful β™₯) I hope you enjoy it

    1. Thanks, Alex!! Also, I love the idea of a “near-future” TBR pile… I definitely have to categorize my TBRs because there are just too many books I want to read! πŸ™‚

    1. I can’t wait to read it! There’s been so much hype about Book of Dust here in Oxford because of the story’s associations with the city, so it’s always on my radar haha πŸ™‚ Hope you enjoy it, too!

  3. Great list! I read Things Fall Apart a few years ago, and find it very interesting. I’ve been wanting to read Dune, too. I attempted to read it back in high school after my English teacher gushed on and on about how it was his absolute favorite book. At the time, though, I was just so busy with school that I just couldn’t get into it. I think I could end up really enjoying it now, though!

    1. Glad you enjoyed Things Fall Apart! Really looking forward to reading Dune as well… I’ve heard some mixed things about it, but it’s such an iconic book that I feel like I need to at least give it a chance πŸ™‚

    1. Yeah I’ve heard some mixed things about Dune… but I tend to like books that people think are boring, so fingers crossed this is no exception πŸ™‚
