Happy Tuesday!! More importantly: HAPPY SUMMER! I’m officially back from Oxford for the next eight weeks, which means it’s time to share the books I’m most looking forward to reading this summer. This is a conglomeration of books that friends have recommended to me, that remind me of Oxford, and that I’ve been meaning to read forย ages.ย Hopefully I’ll be able to get through all of them, but no promises!
What are you looking forward to reading this summer? What are your thoughts on the books I’ve mentioned here? Let me know in the comments section below!
Yours,
HOLLY

If you want to think about Oxford you should go a little old school!! “A Tale of Two Cities” by Charles Dickens and almost anything by Nathaniel Hawthorne is a great start!!

Dune is one of my all time favorites! Wise Man’s Fear is great, but there’s no sign that Rothfuss will be finishing the trilogy anytime soon, so that’s frustrating.

Some interesting but also heavy reads. I also still have to read The Name of the Wind. This Fall perhaps.

I do want to read Lincoln in the Bardo at some point! And I love Shakespeare, though As You Like It isn’t my most favorite comedy.

I was put off โWide Sargasso Seaโ for ages because of its title – which is such a shame because I absolutely loved it when I finally read it! Itโs truly a fabulous book

The Name of The Wind is absolutely amazing. I gave it 5 stars instantly after I’d read it because it was so good. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did ๐ I didn’t have much interest in reading Lincoln in the Bardo, but then my aunt visited a few weeks ago and described it to me, explaining how it’s one of the most unique and moving books she’s ever read, and now I kind of want to pick it up! I hope you have fun reading all of these!
