   Great list! Love North and South, and I really want to read Between the Acts. My favourite neglected classics are Mary Elizabeth Braddon’s Lady Audley’s Secret and Anne Bronte’s The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, both are wonderful and important classics I wish people talked about more!

      Oooh those are both on my tbr!! They sound really interesting, and Anne is the only Bronte I haven’t read yet. Fingers crossed I’ll get around to reading them soon!

   I added “The Lost World” to my TBR earlier this summer when you were talking about it as the original Jurassic Park. 🙂 You always have such good classic lit suggestions. 🙂

   Such a great list! Especially as someone who doesn’t read classics often, having them gems pointed out is incredibly helpful. “Nightwood” in particular is one I had never heard of and need to look up more info about. Thanks for the recs!

       My always, but I often do! Most of the books I read for my courses are classics, so they end up being the bulk of what I read during term. But I do love reading them in my free time, too!

    I have Nightwood on my shelf but I have never read it. I think I bought it for a college lit course but we never got around to it. Now I want to read it. LOL

    Ooooh I had to watch the tv series adaptation for North & South when I took a course for European History last year… and through that, I learned about how different northern and southern English accents are! I needed to put on subtitles for the show 😂 Anyways, I’ve always wanted to read North & South, so thank you for bringing it back to the forefront of my mind again 🙂

    omg The Lost World! One of these days I need to re-read the book. I heard the story was inspire by the explorer Percy Fawcett and it was inspiration for Jurassic Park as well.
