Happy Tuesday!! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme (hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) is a FREEBIE, which means we can make a list about any topic! Since we’re in the midst of a beautiful summer, I thought I would share ten books that remind me of summers as a teenager. Back in the day when I only worked a few short shifts at the library every week I would read so many books every summer. I also loved rereading books, and found myself coming back to the same books time and time again. Here are a few of my favorites from back then:
No matter my thoughts on them now, books like these will always hold a special place of summery nostalgia in my heart. What books remind you of past summers? What do you think of the books I’ve listed? Let me know in the comments section below!
Yours,
HOLLY
Great list! One of these days I’m going to give The Lord of the Rings a try. I’d like to re-read Jane Eyre one day! 🙂

Can you believe that I still haven’t read Jane Eyre?! I need to get to it asap. We’ve read so many books in our literature class, not sure why Jane Eyre wasn’t part of the required reading.

Omg yes Jane Eyre is such a great one!! Strangely, I was never assigned to read it in any of my lit classes either–not sure why!

I read and reread Jane Eyre so often as a teenager. Great choice there.

Sarah Dessen is definitely one of those authors for me. I have so much nostgia for her books!
For me the series that reminds me most of being a teenager is The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. I have such distinct memories of reading those books!

I’ve never read or watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants *gasp!* but I just checked it out of the library yesterday so I’m determined to make this the summer I finally read it! 🙂

This is a brilliant list! I always remember reading Kiss the Dust by Elizabeth Laird in the summer when I was about 11 years old. Just brings back a lot of happy memories for me

That’s a great topic! Sarah Dessen definitely belongs on this list. I just finished reading her latest book and it’s still as summery as the others.

Great list. I always associate Jane Eyre with the fall (that’s when I first read it!)

Oh my gosh, I love your topic choice this week. It’s always a fun feeling to drift back into something of many yesterdays ago. I find I’m just a nostalgic person so automatically I’m like YES to these lists. Jane Eyre reminds me of my teens, too. It was one of the first classics I read and I’m always going to have a soft spot for it!
