HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
Today I thought I would do an extra fun post and share some of the book characters I’ve dressed up as for Halloween! These are all actually from last year (my friends and I did indeed plan three costumes for Halloween weekend our senior year).
Hermione Granger from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
What would a nerdy Halloween be without at least one Hermione costume? Yes, that is my Oxford gown. Yes, that is a big knitting needle that I’m waving around as a wand. And yes, I did indeed where this costume to a bar afterwards.
Ellie Sattler from Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
Jurassic Park is my favorite movie and one of my favorite books. This Laura Dern-inspired outfit was pieced together from stuff my roommates had. I did buy the little dinosaur online–and then proceeded to carry it with me to every party I went to that night.
Piglet from Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne
For our final night of Halloween weekend, my friends and I all dressed up as Winnie the Pooh characters. You can’t see it, but there’s a paper tail hot-glued to the back of my shirt. It’s safe to say that we were all adorable.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little trip down a spooky memory lane with me! What bookish Halloween costumes have you worn in the past? What are you being for Halloween this year? Let me know in the comments section below!
Yours,
HOLLY
