Hi, everyone! Hope you’re all doing well! rAs mentioned in one of my recent posts, I’m currently participating in the #stayhomereadingrush. As part of this readathon the Reading Rush created this fun tag for participants to do. Check out the official video for this tag here.
1. How is your reading going while staying home?
I’m currently at the very end of my second semester of law school (just one more week of classes and two weeks of exams left to go!) so the reading has been pretty slow going lately. However, I have listened to quite a few audiobooks recently and they are such a life saver for getting reading in while doing other things! I love listening to them when I’m getting ready in the morning, working out, cleaning, etc. Once this semester is over I’m hoping to get more reading done!
2. Where have you been reading at home?
Most of my reading happens either at my desk during the day or in my bed before falling asleep.
3. Best book you’ve read during isolation?
I’ve read some great books since staying home, but the best one has probably been Sourdough by Robin Sloan. I had been meaning to read this book for a while and finally got around to listening to the audiobook a few weeks ago. I was just so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it!! Definitely a new favorite of mine.
4. What’s your favorite feel good book?
Oh, there are so many! The go-to one I tend to highlight first is The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien because it’s just such a comforting, nostalgic read for me. Other favorites of mine include The Princess Bride by William Goldman, Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton, 84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff, and Harry Potter, of course.
5. Book you wish you could buy or borrow from the library?
Definitely A Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. I briefly started reading this over winter break and I’ve been so looking forward to finally reading the rest of it.
6. Author you want to shout out during this time?
Carrie Hope Fletcher! Her books are so lovely and fun and she is just such a wonderful person.
7. What is your Reading Rush TBR?
Check out my post where I explain the whole thing!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little tag! Have you been participating in this little Reading Rush? If not, how’s your reading been going in general while staying at home? Let me know in the comments section below!
Yours,
HOLLY
