If you are wondering how I rate my books, here is a quick overview for you:
5 smileys: The book was perfect. I have no complaints. I would definitely read it again, and I would absolutely recommend it to a friend.
4 smileys: The book was great and I enjoyed reading it, but it either fell flat or there were some small things that I just didn’t like about it. I may or may not read it again, but I would probably recommend it to a friend.
3 smileys: The book was okay. It had some good qualities to it, but overall it just wasn’t up to my expectations. I probably wouldn’t read it again, and depending on what book it was I may or may not recommend it to a friend.
2 smileys: The book was not very enjoyable to read. It may have had one or two good qualities, but there aren’t many positive things to say about it at all. I would read it again and I would not recommend it to a friend.
1 smiley: Let’s be honest: the book was downright atrocious. There were little to no positive things to say about it at all, and I did not enjoy reading it one bit. I would definitely not read it again, and I would absolutely not recommend it to a friend.
DNF or 0 smileys: DNF stands for Did Not Finish. Any book that I choose to put down automatically receives this rating. I may or may not do an actual review of the book saying why I decided not to finish it.
I’ve been using this system since January 1, 2015, so the book reviews posted prior to this date have been rated using my previous system.
Hope this helped!
