Hope everyone is doing well! Life feels a bit more unpredictable than usual right now, so I thought I would continue sharing some posts from other bloggers in the midst of all this chaos. I think we could all use a good distracting blog post! Here are some great posts I’ve read lately:
- 10 Things I Wish the LOTR Movies Had Not Changed (Extended Editions) | Krysta @ Pages Unbound Reviews. In this post, Krysta shares things she liked from the Lord of the Rings books that were changed for the worse in the films. I definitely agree with these–especially the ones about the Ents!!
- Should You Join Book Twitter? | Belle @ Belle Can Read. In this post, Belle shares an in-depth discussion about the pros and cons of the bookish corner of Twitter. It’s really interesting to think about how each social media platform seems to carry with it a certain tone and invites certain kinds of posts.
- Self-Care You Can Do While Listening to Audiobooks | Stephanie @ Adventures of a Bibliophile. In this post, Stephanie lists things you can do while listening to audiobooks if you have some extra time on your hands. As someone who has been listening to more audiobooks recently, I really appreciated this list.
- 10 Feel Good Books to Read While Social Distancing | Madison @ Madison’s Inkwell. In this post, Madison shares such a great list of feel-good, comforting books to read in this rather isolating time. I think there’s something for everyone on this list!
I hope you enjoy these posts as much as I have! Which posts have you been loving lately? Which kinds of blog posts tend to be your favorites? Let me know in the comments section below.
Yours,
HOLLY
I read the LOTR piece too and agreed with lots of it, but she left out my main beef with the first movie: scary Galadriel and not enough time in Lorien! The Ents were the main letdown in the second movie, as they are my favorite part in the whole series. But overall the films did a fairly good job considering how mangled most books become on the screen. What did you think?

I agree!! Galadriel was so kind and ethereal in the books, and in the film she’s sort of terrifying. But on the whole, I think they did an excellent job with the films. There’s only so much detail you can include in three hours on the big screen!
