QUOTE: Robert Louis Stevenson

Robert Louis Stevenson Quote

“I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.”  ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

As the weather gets warmer and summer edges ever nearer, I feel an overwhelming urge to move. This could mean going for a walk or simply sitting outside to do homework instead of at my usual desk. However, one thing is for certain: warm weather definitely hits me as an inspiring wave of restless excitement and curiosity. I think this quote is especially appropriate for this time of year, and even more so as April turns to May and May turns to June. Going to a new destination is great, but I’m a big believer in the idea that the journey is just as important as the end result.

Do you feel the sudden urge to move in the warmer months like I do? Do you agree that the journey is just as important as the destination, or do you feel differently? What great quotes have you discovered recently? Let me know in the comments section below!

Yours,

HOLLY

  1. Ah when you get the travelling bug! I got this round September last year and trust me it was strong! I just wanted to jump on a plane and head out somewhere. Anywhere. It was the first time I felt like I really needed a holiday, but nowadays it’s receded to the back of my mind. I am looking forward to travelling in the summer holidays though!

    1. Summer travelling is the best! Road trips are my favorite. There’s just something about riding in a car across state lines and through new places that puts a smile on my face every time. Plus, there’s plenty of time for reading! 🙂
